How long should I transition puppy food to prevent tummy upset?

If i am transitioning my puppy from one dog food to another, how long should i make the transition period, so i don't upset my puppy's tummy. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 7 days old | 1lb

I recommend giving 3/4 of the old food and 1/4 of the new food for three days, then give 1/2 of the old food and 1/2 of the new food for three days, and then give 1/4 of the old food and 3/4 of the new food for three days. After this you should be able to fully transition onto the new food.
