I brought my dog Bella to the vet today because of 'Limp Tail' this weekend she swam in cold water, it looked like her tail was limp that night she threw up a couple times, vet thought the same thing, Limp Tail. They did blood test blood test was all good. He said he could give her a pain/anti-inflam, I had Deramaxx at home, he said give her half & gave her a quarter, meds were about a year old & soft, she been vomiting, will she be ok?

I would recommend stopping the Deramaxx if she is vomiting today as it can cause the side effect of stomach upset in some dogs. If Bella is still vomiting tomorrow I would recommend a recheck at your vet and if bloodwork was already performed and was normal would consider an x-ray of the abdomen. We don't usually see vomiting along with limber tail/limp tail so it is possible she has something else going on at the same time.

Those symptoms are severe by all means , Bella is obviously very sick, you need to take her to the vet today, she will need to be checked and might need a blood test or xray in order to diagnose her condition. It could be a severe infection, an internal disease or a foreign body in the stomach.

Your dog did not get it from you. It sounds as Bella is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Bella! Bella may be painful. A common symptom of neck or back pain is not jumping up on furniture, doing steps or wagging the tail. She could be painful elsewhere, like in her joints if she has a tick borne disease like Lyme. She also may not be wagging or jumping up because she is systemically sick with a virus or bacterial infection, ate something gross, has a foreign body, ate a toxin, has pancreatitis or a liver or kidney problem or a fever. Since she isn't eating and drinking I would make an appointment with your Vet for an exam. I hope this helps and I wish Bella a speedy recovery!
