My cat is terrified and dizzy when outside. How can I acclimate him?

Our cat doesn't get out much. When we take him outside he stares at the sky and seems terrified. He seems to be experiencing some kind of vertigo as he will stay close to the ground, constantly scanning the sky with his eyes. then he gets dizzy and rolls over. He also starts meowing at us really loud like he is scared and needs one of us to hold him. He is 4 now. What do we do to acclimate him to being outside?

Being outside can be pretty overwhelming and scary for an animal who's not used to it! If you keep introducing your kitty to the outdoors, over time it should become more familiar and less scary - but some cats who grew up indoors never learn to enjoy going outside. Try to make it a positive experience by offering some treats or canned food when he's out with you. If you want to keep trying, I recommend putting a cat harness and leash on your kitty, since scared animals can panic and bolt!
