My puppy keeps having crate accidents even after going outside.

Question

I have a white German Shepherd puppy 6 moths old and it will not stop going pee and poop in her crate. She can be outside for over an hour and when she comes right in she does it. We feed her in her cage, have bedding in there, and her cage is not over large for her. We disinfect her crate after every time she goes. What can we do. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | spayed | 5 months and 3 days old | 35 lbs

It seems she might need a small kennel. There should only be enough room for her to stand up and turn a complete circle. Any other room then they tend to soil in one area and lay in another so they do not get dirty. Puppies tend to get distracted easily and may find playing and exploring outside more important than going to the bathroom. I would start taking her out on leash and staying close by you reward her with treats as she goes in the correct place.
