Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Male | unneutered | 14 years and 8 months old | 18 lbs
My Bichon had benign masses removed around anal glands 4 days ago. He was recovering well 1st 2 days but last 2 days he's not going poop like he always has, walks frantically fast and stops, then won't walk while trembling where I have to carry him. Past 2 nights he's stood most off night frantically going back and forth. I've been giving him his Metacam once a day, tramadol 3/4 of 50 mg pill 3 times a day and placing warm compresses several times a day on incision. Vet isn't concerned

I am sorry Bam is having some complications. If he is truly constipated I would stop the tramadol. Tramadol can cause constipation in some dogs. Metacam is a anti inflammatory and will help with pain control. You could try to add some fiber like Metamucil to the diet to help with defecation. Hope Bam feels better
