What's this black crusty draining spot on my senior shih tzu's leg?

My 14 yr old male shih tzu has a black crusty spot on his leg that drains somewhat if I squeeze it. I just found it yesterday (Sat), so haven't called the vet - but worried. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 14 years and 3 months old | 20 lbs

This could be a bug bite, a benign cyst draining, or a local infection. I would recommend to clean it with a a mild soap and water and put some neosporin on it. I would place a cone collar on him if needed to prevent any licking. I would contact your vet to ensure he doesn't need any oral antibiotics. I hope this helps!
