Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 4 months old | 80 lbs
My pet Labrador of 7 years has been diagnosed with ascites. But his blood results shows proper kidney and liver functioning. So the vet said it might be due to heart issues, and of no hope. When consulted with another vet, he said the fluid accumulation is due to abdominal tumor. Two days back there was a bulge near his stomach which later ruptured and caused leak of all the fluids along with blood. Now a hole remains in that area. Now the stomach is flattened except for harder part on one side

I am very sorry to hear about your labrador. It sounds like he needs to have diagnostic imaging (x-rays or preferably ultrasound) performed to examine the abdominal cavity, or if that is not an option, an exploratory surgery may be needed. I would be concerned about a large abscess or a tumor that had a cystic or abscessed area, but truly to determine the cause and whether or not treatment will be helpful further investigation is needed.
