My dog's neck is swollen with red, oozing lumps. Is it an emergency?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 40 lbs

My dog's neck is very swollen and covered in red, oozing lumps. It's gotten worse, and more lumps have appeared. She's scratching at it desperately and clawing herself. Tail is tucked, mouth dry, feverish. Has gotten worse since pics taken earlier today.

Oh no, poor Scout! She could be suffering from an allergic reaction, and it's very concerning that her neck is quite swollen and her lumps are getting worse. She needs veterinary care now to diagnose what is causing her symptoms so she can be treated. Please take her into a vet now.
