My cat has diarrhea after Tropiclean Fresh Breath. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 7 months old | 10 lbs

I started my pets on Fresh Breath by Tropiclean (brushless gums and teeth care that goes into their water). Since I started that my cat has diarrhea. I don't know if it's related, but that's the only thing that changed. She's going to the bathroom frequently and I'm having to clean her each time. I just took food away and she always has fresh water. Any suggestions? Do I need to take her in? She is UTD on shots, indoor, acting normal otherwise.

Discontinue the Fresh Breath as well. Feed Kali a bland diet until the stool returns to normal then transition slowly to her regular diet. Wait a week then try the Fresh Breath again, if she breaks with diarrhea then you will know there is something in it that does not agree with her. As long as she is behaving normally otherwise, then she likely does not need to see the veterinarian.
