Why is my senior cat passing tissue and struggling to urinate?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 20 years and 3 months old | 8 lbs

The last few days my 20 yr old Torti feline has been passing these odd little alien tissue looking things from her vagina. She has been squatting all over the house struggling to get them out and leaking urine all over. I can hardly be angry about it... but I don't know what to do to help her. Otherwise she seems to be perfectly fine and acting normal. She passed 3 of them today and now she's acting fine. So confused.... does anyone know what the heck I'm dealing with here? HELP!!

You should get Sadie checked out as soon as you can. These pieces of tissue are likely coming from.her urinary tract, it is possible she has a mass in her bladder wall or a severe case of cystitis. She will be very uncomfortable.
