Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 14 days old | 1lb
My six week old kitten walks with exaggerated high steps with her hind legs (all the time), her front legs appear to be normal. Sometimes she will only walk on her front legs. She's very uncoordinated and sometimes roll over front ways. She is very playful and eats, drinks, pees and poops normal. Doesn't seem to be in pain. She does have feeling in her back legs. Even our vet doesn't know what is wrong and is going to consult w/ a feline Neuro specialist. I'm worried. What could be wrong?

Poor Zoey! Unfortunately, the video will not load on the Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach forum, but I can get a sense for her abnormal gait from your description and the pictures. My first concern would be that Zoey may have cerebellar hypoplasia, but meningitis, toxoplasmosis, congenital lysosomal storage diseases, FIP, FIV, FeLV or spinal cord lesions are all possible. If it has not yet been done, ask your vet about performing a blood test for FIV and FeLV (feline leukemia). Otherwise, hopefully they are able to obtain further insight from a veterinary neurologist or internal medicine specialist. I hope that all goes well!
