Why is my cat hiding, scared, and vomiting? Should I see a vet?

Good afternoon, My cat started acting paranoid yesterday and spent the rest of the day hiding from place to place like she was scared of something. When she's in a secluded spot she acts normal and lets me pet her. This alone might mean that she's just having a bad day but this morning she vomited, this being the third time in seven days, so I would like to hear the opinion of a professional - is she just stressed out or is she ill? Is going to the vet necessary? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 years and 2 months old

Hiding behavior such as you describe can indicate that a cat is not feeling well. That in conjunction with the vomiting in the last week makes me concerned that there could be something going on with Rudy. I would recommend that you have her seen by your veterinarian. They will examine her and may recommend blood work or x-rays to get a better idea what's going on. Please keep in mind that cats that go more than a few days without eating can become very ill very quickly.
