My new puppy has gooey blood in his poop. What should I do now?

I just got my puppy yesterday and he had a little bit of blood in his poop but today he pooped out just gooey blood and i'm really worried. What should I do?

Oh no. I would take him to a vet as soon as possible and have him checked for intestinal parasites and parvovirus. Either one could be the cause of his bloody discharge and need to be identified quickly so that he can start treatment right away. Howver, you can offer Pedialyte non-flavored to help keep him from getting too dehydrated. It is unfortunate that a pet you just adopted is ill; however, you can't help Shiner on your own and you should allow your veterinarian to care for him and his illness from here moving forward.
