Benadryl is used to treat allergic reactions and allergies so if it seems to be helping then he probably has allergies. If the signs persist then he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause and treat. He may need an antibiotic and a corticosteroid to help treat the problem. You could also bathe him with a medicated dog shampoo and see if that helps. Hope he he feels better soon!

It is possible these red spots on his inner thighs are insect bites. Other possibilities would be allergies leading to dermatitis/skin infection. If he isn't bothered by them with the benadryl then I would just continue to monitor them and be sure they aren't spreading. If they develop crusts/scabs or circles of dry skin around them, or look like white-head pimples then these can be signs of skin infection and he should see his vet when you return home. It is impossible to tell about what is going on with his eyes without examining him. It is possible he could have irritation from traveling through brush/plants/dirt in the woods. In case that is the cause, you can try rinsing his eyes/face, ideally with a sterile eye wash solution, or applying a cool water compress to the eyes with a clean cloth. If the redness doesn't resolve/worsens/the eyes become swollen/he is painful/squinting or rubbing excessively at the eyes an exam is needed.
