Comfortis (spinosad) can be transmitted through the milk. While the manufacturers of Comfortis have not studied its use in lactating dogs, I do recommend weaning the puppies altogether to err on the side of caution. Try to keep Isabella separated from her puppies for the next week, after which time neither Isabella nor the puppies will likely have any interest in nursing. I hope this helps and that all goes well!
