My dog's cyst burst. What's the best way to clean and treat it safely?

My 7 year old dog had a cyst on her side it has now burst I was wondering the best way to clean it we have shaved the hair around it and have been cleaning with soapy water and Neosporin

The best way to clean a mass that ruptures is with Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water or with Chlorhexidine solution 3% diluted. Then oral antibiotics form your local vet may be needed as well to get it to heal properly. I would then consider having this mass removed. Best of luck moving forward with your pet Chloe.
