My dog ate old, unrefrigerated chicken. Is he okay? What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 59 lbs

My dog ate a few months old, noon-refrigerated, shredded chicken. there was less than half a breast. What should I do? Will he be ok?

It's possible the bacteria from the chicken could cause Kipper some GI upset such as vomiting or diarrhea. Removing his regular food and feeding a bland meal of cooked and not-spoiled chicken and rice may help, however if he shows symptoms such as a tender abdomen, bloody vomiting or diarrhea, or diarrhea and vomiting that lasts for more than a day, veterinary care should be sought to treat any infection and illness caused by the spoiled food.
