My puppy had parvo, now sick again. What's wrong and will he survive?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 1 month and 29 days old | 6.172 lbs

On 8th June i got to know that my lab puppy had parvo virus &he was given 5 days of treatment from 13th June he was fine & from 16th again he stoped eating and from the next day loose stools with bad smell started. Again I am taking him daily to my vet but there is no improvement & they r not telling what's the problem even blood test is also done i don't know what to do so plz tell me what might be the problem & chances of his survival

I'm sorry to hear that Bruno has been so sick. It is difficult for us to know what the problem is without more information and reviewing the blood work. A consultation may be more beneficial for you in that we can ask questions and you can upload the bloodwork for us to review. It is possible that Bruno is still fighting off parvovirus, but he may have also developed a new infection has parvo virus affects the immune system as well.

    Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Yes, he can survive though will require appropriate therapy and in a timely fashion. This usually involves intravenous fluids, antibiotics, supportive care medications for like diarrhea and vomiting if present, among other possible therapies. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your closest emergency clinic as soon as possible as the main concern with these patients is severe dehydration and anemia if there is blood involved. Good luck! I really hope he gets better.
