My cat ate chickpeas. Should I take her to the vet if she seems fine?

Nyx got into a bag of barbecue flavoured chick peas and ate the whole thing. That was last night and she seems fine this morning, should I still take her to the vet or just monitor from home for now?

That was naughty of Nyx to eat the chickpeas! While chickpeas aren't toxic to cats, it's not recommended to feed them to cats but because she is still acting fine, I would monitor her for now. If she starts showing any symptoms such as lethargy, vomiting, and/or anorexia, then I would take her into the vet. I hope this helps :-)

If it has been this long I suspect Nyx will be OK. She may have some diarrhea from an upset tummy. If she has any vomiting, or bloody diarrhea, she stops eating, or seems in pain she should be seen by her veterinarian. If you do not see those signs in the next 1 to 2 days she should be fine.
