My dog has green eye discharge. Should I see a vet or use drops?

My 1 1/2 year old Yorkie has an eye that has green puss in it ... I cleaned it with a warm cloth , but is there something that I can put in it. Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 1 year and 6 months old | 3.8 lbs

Unfortunately no, there are no OTC medications you can use on Bella's eye. If she has green pus, that can indicate an eye infection and she needs to see a vet right away. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take Bella into an ER vet now to diagnose and treat her eye.
