My kitten is lethargic. What's the cause and treatment cost?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I have a kitten who is becoming lethargic. Another kitten died due to fluid filling the lungs. How much would treatment possibly cost?

If the other kitten had fluid in its lungs secondary to FIP, there is unfortunately not much that can be done treatment wise. Fluid in the lungs can also be due to heart disease or an infection. The treatment cost can vary widely depending on the underlying cause and would be very difficult to estimate. Of course it is possible that Virgo is lethargic for a different reason as well. I'd recommend taking Virgo to the veterinarian for a physical exam to start.
