My cat's meow is hoarse. What can I do if I can't afford a vet?

Hi my cat has a hoarse meow and I can't afford to take her to he vet I just want advice on what to do.

If she is still eating and drinking and not coughing, then she may just have a mild laryngitis. I would watch her closely and it will likely heal on its own. Allergies during the changing of season can cause this as well. You can contact your vet for the appropriate dose of children's Benadryl for her to help speed her healing. I hope this helps.

    It sounds like he may have some allergies going on. You can try some Benadryl first to see if this helps. The dose for beandryl is in the link below. You can also start him on a multi-vitamin and viralys to help boost his immune system. There are some other things that can cause this like an upper respiratory or fungal infection. These problems would have to be treated with prescription meds. If he isn't improving and you are able, I would try to have your vet look at him.
