My 2-month-old kittens are panting from heat. How can I cool them?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | unspayed

It's very warm and my 2 month old kittens are panting. Almost like they're choking on a fur ball. Is there anyway to cool them down? They're not eating much due to the warm weather

You can try keeping them indoors with a fan or increasing the shade they have. Sometimes doing slightly cool water by placing a few ice cubes in their dish is helpful as well. If they start having any sort of nasal discharge, become week are they have pale or discolored gums they need to be seen by veterinarian immediately.
