My dog vomits after eating, still hungry and active. What to do?

Question

Diego still asking for food and really scratching his bowl to give him food after vomiting his food immediately after eating. No diarrhea. Very active. What will i do? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | 3 years and 6 months old

If this has occurred more than once or twice Diego should see a veterinarian. If he is still hungry but unable to keep food down he may have an esophageal disorder or GI blockage. You can try fasting him for 4-6 hours after the last time he threw up and offer just a very small amount of food. If he keeps that down, wait a couple of hours then offer a little more. But if the food is still coming back up he should see a vet to determine the cause.
