My Golden has eye swelling, squinting, and diarrhea. Vet visit needed?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | neutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 105 lbs

My 1 & 1/2 year old male golden retriever has server red swelling in the outer corner of his eye. It is a big red bump w/ dry skin and he has been squinting for a few days no! Has also had diarrhea all day today. I need help in knowing if this is common and if I can home remedy him back to help or if I should take him to the vet right away!

I would recommend taking Remington to your vet as soon as possible. Most dogs will squint if the eye is painful. The pictures make it look like he may have a skin infection beside his eye, and I'm concerned if he is squinting he may have an infection or irritation in his eye as well. The diarrhea may be related to what is going on with his eye or may be caused by something else, like intestinal parasites, eating something he shouldn't have, or bacterial or viral infection. Regardless, I think it would be best you take him in to get checked out and get some treatment for both his eye and diarrhea.
