Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 11 months and 17 days old | 15 lbs
I'm very paranoid about fleas in my home. I had a bad infestation once before I had cats. My Maine coon is less than a year old and around his lower stomach area, aside from his nipples. There is one small red bump that has lost hair around it. He doesn't appear to be itching or over grooming. But I am still very concerned. I also killed a small worm near the litter box but it seemed different than a larvae. Could this just be my paranoia? Searched for flea dirt/fleas. Nothing. Please help. Thx

If Spade had fleas, I would expect that he would have multiple red bumps that would be very itchy and would cause him to overgroom. It could be that he injured himself causing the red bump, and at this point in time I would not be too concerned about it. You can make sure that Spade is up to date on his flea treatments, and I would make sure he is up to date on his deworming treatments as well if you found a small worm near his litter box. If you see more bumps appearing and he starts overgrooming or becomes very itchy, then I would have him seen by a vet to confirm if he does have fleas or not.
