Why is my dog constantly chewing, licking, and scratching her rear?

My little mix breed 25# dog started chewing, licking and scratching around base of her tail, lower back and upper rear legs about 6 weeks ago I find no bugs of any type & house is clean. Sometimes when sh starts chewing and licking she would go on for hours. Any suggestions? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 7 years old | 26 lbs

Livi could be suffering from skin allergy or it could be that her anal glands are full and annoying her. I would visit the vet and have them check her glands, they can be expressed if full. Whilst there the vet can examine her skin for any signs of a problem.
