Old dog yelping from back pain. What can I do if vets are closed?

Small Chihuahua thats has rear end back problems for several years. He's 14! Since yesterday afternoon he yelps and has problems both laying down and when getting up he yelps. I've been up all night long. Its Sunday. Any pain relief meds that are obtainable? A vet is out of the question small town everything is CLOSED. ON top of that he would have to be put to sleep due to take to a vet due to not being able to pick him up (pain or not he's mean) What can I do? Thank you so much

Hello there, I'm sorry but legally we cannot prescribe or suggest any drug dosages. You could try calling the nearest vet and they may be able to prescribe some pain relief for you to pick up to tide you over.
