Oz had a mass removed from his right side 30 days ago. The mass returned along with what was initially described as hot spots. The second mass was was removed, no biopsy was performed. After the wound opened again, Oz was admitted for 9 more days. upon his release from the vet's office his head is covered with "hot spots" or boils which swell up and pop open then turn to hard scabs. The boils are now popping up all over his body and he alway thirsty. He has been prescribed prednisolone.

Oz could have a bacterial infection of his skin but I would also be concerned that these masses are mast cell tumors which can be very irritating and cause other issues like vomiting, low blood pressure and itching. The prednisone causes increased thirst, urination and appetite. You could try a medicated pet shampoo for his skin but I recommend also discussing these boils with your veterinarian and if they feel additional tests are needed.
