I'm working under the assumption that autocorrect changed hyphema (blood in the anterior chamber of the eye) to hyphens. If Penny does hyphema, this can be a result of a number serious underlying conditions, including severely elevated blood pressure, blood clotting disorders, trauma, among others. To answer your question, yes, hyphema does require urgent veterinary attention. Feel free to ask another question or request a consultation if I misunderstood your initial concern about Penny's eye. I hope that all goes well for Penny!
