My 12 year old yellow lab, Riley Ann, is chattering more, squinting her eyes and seems more stressed when our baby yellow male lab, Gus Gus who's now 2, is active around her. She's been around him his whole life (since 7 weeks old). She often let's him know when to leave her alone and he respects that, but more often lately, she just chatters and squints. I love her up and she is okay for the moment. Any ideas on this more frequent behavior is appreciated. Becca in Ripon, CA

If Riley Ann is getting more intolerant of Gus Gus, and is showing signs of being unsettled it could suggest that she is in pain or there is something making her more irritable. It is possible that she is developing dementia. I would take her to be vet to be examined and rule out any underlying conditions in her organs. If nothing physical comes up it is likely that she is getting dementia. It is probably best to let her have somewhere she can get a good rest away from Gus Gus.
