My puppy kisses my girlfriend more; why doesn't she love me?

I was wondering why my new 14 week old puppy loves to kiss my girlfriend and doesn't seem to care kissing me. I take care of her almost all day while my girlfriend is gone and am her primary care giver. It makes me so sad to think she doesn't love me as much! Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 6 days old | 22 lbs

What a cute puppy! Don't worry too much, dogs show affection in different ways. It could simply be a case that the pup sees you all the time but gets really excited because she doesn't see your girlfriend as often. Also dogs are very hierarchical so the pup may see you as the alpha, more of a boss figure. Whereas your girlfriend could be viewed more as a friend.
