Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Female | unspayed | 9 years and 5 months old | 97 lbs
On my Rottweiler's right hind leg she has a soft lump. This has been checked previously by the vet and they have said it's likely to be calcium or a cyst of some form. It seems to be getting slowly larger over time. She also has arthritis, but seems her right side is the worst, is it linked to this lump? I also noticed the little red sore like lump on her right lower leg yesterday, do you know what this could be please? She turned 9yrs old January, I can't help dread the worst! Please help!

It is possible, although quite rare that these lumps would be casing the pain and stiffness; the arthritis is likely unrelated. I would recommend a needle biopsy (which can normally be done without sedation/anaesthetic) of the lumps now that they are growing and changing in order to determine the underlying nature and if they are benign or whether treatment is indicated
