My outdoor cat is limping with a dry, swollen paw. Is it a burn? What can I apply?

My cat lives outside. He has been limping with his front left foot. That paw is dry and rough and one toe and the main paw may be slightly swollen. I originally found that he had this problem laying in the grass beside the driveway. We believe that he burned his paw. Do you believe that he burned it on the driveway? Are there any products or oils that we could apply on his paw?

While a burn to his paw is possible I would also be concerned about an infection or even a bite/sting wound. Kitty Baby needs to get his paw checked out if possible as he may need antibiotics. If that is not possible I recommend he be kept indoors and you monitor the paw. Sometimes soaking the paw in a warm water or a warm compress is helpful. Do not give any human medications as they can be very toxic to cats.
