My dog is sore and licking his leg after playing. Should I see a vet?

Hello there! Grundy is just a bit out of shape after the winter, we've been at the dog park and he's been playing pretty hard in the warm weather. The last couple days he's been whimpering occasionally and licking his front leg. When I throw his ball he cries when he's skidding to a stop. I've checked him over and can't see anything that would be hurting him. He's still happy and wild, eats and drinks just fine, but is sore getting out of bed and only eases himself onto the couch. Vet visit?

Yes, I do think it would be a good idea to have Grundy seen by a vet for this. He could have strained or torn a ligament causing this limping, and because it has been going on for a couple of days, having him seen by a vet today or tomorrow is best. The vet can diagnose what is causing his pain, and can give him pain medication as well as treat the underlying cause.
