Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 3 months old
Hi, just want to ask for your opinion regarding Gretta's xray here. Do you think there is an obstruction in her intestines? It is clear that she has a stone in her bladder but she's been vomiting what she eats and she doesn't have appetite now.. we cannot confirm it because there's no ultrasound available here in our city and explore lap surgery is not available also.. do you think there's something in the middle of her stomach? Xray photos are attached here and her bun&crea result. Thank you.

It seems there is something in the stomach indeed but it is not likely to cause an obstruction, it could be the cause of the symptoms though but an ultrasound is indeed necessary to confirm it. another option is to repeat the xray with contrast media in order to get a better idea regarding what could be in the stomach.

It is very hard to identify a stomach tumor off an x ray. A diet change is a good start but since there is still vomiting, you will need further testing for more complete answers You can consult with a vet about having an ultrasound done. This can look inside the stomach and the intestines. IF there is a tumor, then it will likely show up on this test. it can also measure the intestines and look at the lymph nodes. This can indicate a cancer or inflammatory bowel disease. Based on these results will dictate which diet is best and what medication can be added to help further control the symptoms.
