Can my 10-month-old cat with fleas be spayed if she's unvaccinated?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 10 months and 12 days old | 4 lbs

We were gifted a cat who is roughly 10 months old who lived outside/in the garage, she has had no vaccines and we would like to spay her. Does she need any non core vaccines and can she be spayed even though she has fleas

Yes, she can be spayed with fleas. I recommend that you purchase Revolution and have it applied at the vet. Additionally, she will need a rabies, feline distemper, and feline leukemia vaccine (core).
