Why does my dog have red pimples, dark hair, and shedding skin?

My dog has a few red pimples on her back, and some even started to grow a darker color hair than her brown natural color. They also tend to shed some skin after a while. What could this be? Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Female | unspayed | 7 years and 6 months old | 16 lbs

Gigi could have a bacterial skin infection causing the problem. You could bathe her with an anti-microbial medicated dog shampoo and see if that helps. Otherwise, she should be examined by a vet for treatment. She might need an oral antibiotic and a corticosteroid to help treat.
