My dog has black spots on her back. Are they blackheads or something?

Some of those look like they could be black heads. I think its more like hyperpigmentation which happens in dogs. Both are benign and nothing to worry about. try using a peroxiderm type shampoo on Coco, it has actions to clean out pores and exfoliate skin so it would help with either of those conditions.

    Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! These areas look like skin pigmentation to me which can be completely normal. If these areas aren't raised, then I wouldn't worry about them unless there is itching or other signs. Sometimes pink skin takes on pigment when it is irritated as with allergies. I think this is completely normal pigmentation of the skin and it can change over time. If you have any doubts, let your veterinarian check out Bob. Good luck
