My dog still has worm symptoms after deworming. Vet or wait?

I have a 6kg Male Daschund who is currently showing signs of worms (itching much more, licking around the anus, diarrhoea and vomiting), but only really noticing this the past couple of days I have just given him a worm tablet today. Will he also need to be checked by a vet or shall I wait to see if the tablet has any effect? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | neutered | 8 months and 11 days old | 13 lbs

We do not usually see itching or vomiting with worms unless they have an excessive worm burden. I would recommend an exam by your vet if he is still having vomiting or diarrhea, to be certain this isn't more than GI parasitism that is causing Brandy to be ill.
