My chihuahua's rectal prolapse is back. Can I push it in myself?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | 7 years and 1 month old | 8 lbs

My chihuhuah has a rectal prolapse this is the 2nd time we took her to a vet 2 eeeks,ago and the vet thought it was ok and took sutures out. Now the rectum is out again about 12 inch . Should we try to push it back in or wait to rake her to the vet

Don't try to push it back by yourself as you can cause damage and it will come back out anyway, you should take her to the vet ASAP, keep the prolapsed area moist in the meantime to prevent any permanent tissue damage to the rectum.
