My cat threw up a hairball, now vomiting clear liquid. Is he sick?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 16 lbs

My cat has thrown up about 6 times since 5pm. I did find a hairball that he must have thrown up before 5 when I got home, but now he won't stop throwing up clear liquid. He does seem a little lethargic and uncomfortable.

I recommend having Kitten seen by his veterinarian based on the symptoms you are describing. He may just have some gastrointestinal upset but there is also the possibility for something more serious such as a foreign body.

    HI, I am sorry to hear about Hops. Very good to hear that he is well otherwise. But all of this vomiting, even on an empty stomach is very concerning. He may have ingested something over the weekend while you were away that was toxic or that is causing an obstruction in his intestinal tract. Vomiting and anorexia is very concerning in any cat. This is not caused by stress. He has a medical problem (unfortunately) and needs to be evaluated by his veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck to you and Hops.
