Dog losing hair after Advantix spot-on. Will his fur grow back?

I would really appreciate your help. I applied advantix spot on my dog on the 22/5/2017. About 3/4 days later I noticed that he was losing most his spine hair nearly all of it. He lost his hair were the spot on was applied. I read an article that this could be a side effect. I am really worried. What can I do to make his hair grow back. I applied almond oil on him today. Will his hair grow back? I am really desperate. What can I do . really need your help. I attached photos as well

Hello there. So sorry Thor is having this issue. Yes, this sounds like a reaction to the Advantix. Usually the hair will grow back but I cannot be 100% sure that will be the case. Only time will tell. If the hair is going to grow back it could take months depending on what phase of hair growth the hair was in when it fell out. If the hair follicles were damaged in any way the hair may not grow back (that would be worse case scenario). I suggest you contact the company and let them know what happened. There should be a phone number on the packaging. Often times they will cover any vet care if they deem the reaction was caused by their product so you may want to check in to that. That way you can get Thor checked out properly by your vet. I know the hair loss looks unsightly but try not to be too worried. I'm sure he will be just fine :) I hope this helps. Best wishes!
