My westie has clear like jelly in both eyes every morning

Hi. I would suggest taking your Westie in for an eye exam. Mucous like discharge in the eyes may be a symptom of dry eye or keratoconjunctivitiis sicca (KCS). Your vet can perform a simple test to see if there is normal tear production in the eyes. If not medications to help can be prescribed. Untreated KCS can be painful and potentially lead to ulcers or scarring of the eye. Or there may be some other cause such as uveitis, conjunctivitis, corneal disease. A good eye exam can start to figure out what is wrong.
