It looks like an infection or a hot spot. Make sure you keep him from licking it. Also you can give him 1/4 teaspoon of children Benadryl twice a dayto help control the itching. Finally you can try some neosporin and Benadryl spray to see if it will heal. If it doesn't then I would consider trying to find a vet for an exam.

If it has a purulent discharge then it sounds like the mass/cyst could be infected. If you can't take him to a vet then you could clean the area with a wound cleaner and see if that helps. You could also try to soak his leg him a warm Epsom salt solution, if the bump is on the bottom part of his leg, and see if that helps. Otherwise, he may need an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, or it may need to be removed.

At such a young age, it can be inflammation as a result of getting bitten by something or a small skin tumor. Skin tumors such as that are most commonly histiocytomas and these are not cancerous. They often go away in their own You can apply neosporin and cortisone cream to the area as this will help if it is a bite reaction. If there is no improvement after 24-48 hours then I would have your vet check it
