My dog is sick, in pain, slow, and won't move or drink. Help!

Question

My dog just got sick. Prior ro that it sounded lile he had hiccups. He keeps laying down and when he moves it's very slow. He won't go up steps and if you touch his inner hinleg he yelps. He hasn't slept, drank anything and has been panting. Pet's info: Dog | Irish Setter | Male | unneutered | 8 years and 5 months old | 50 lbs

The hiccups were probably because Charlie was retching before he vomited. I'm concerned about him not moving much, and of he yelps he's probably in pain. I recommend taking him to the vet either tonight or first thing tomorrow to be examined. There are many possible illnesses that could present this way. Do not give human pain medicines as they're often toxic to dogs.
