Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 13 lbs
Overweight diabetic cat 14+ years old started having fits of wheezing (sounds a little wet, licks her lips once shes done) for the past week. I noticed it the same day (a week ago) we tried a cat nip spray for the first time.

Poor Ginger! It's possible that the cat nip spray you used caused some irritation to Ginger's airways. However, in an elderly cat, I also think about other conditions that can cause wheezing, such as heart and lung disease. It may be coincidental, but I would recommend taking Ginger to see your vet so they can listen to her heart and lungs, maybe take X-rays, and prescribe appropriate treatment if any. Hope this helps!
