Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 80 lbs
Hi! Our black lab has what I can only describe as a bubble on top of her head, between the ears. We only just noticed this after she got into a small fight with our other dog. There's no behavior changes and the bubble does not seem to be painful. It is soft, slightly protruding, and seems to be filled with liquid as it makes a squish sound when pet. We are wondering if she is in immediate harm or if we should be concerned at all? Thank you!

This could be a site of a bite wound and, if so, could be an early abscess. It could also just be a cyst (harmless fluid-filled mass). If it continues to grow, has a discharge or seems painful at all Sam needs to get examined by her veterinarian. If it goes away or stays the same I would recommend mentioning it to her veterinarian at her next routine appointment.

I'm sorry but it is highly unlikely we can tell you what this lump is just by looking at a photo. Lumps are usually one of the following: * cyst * abscess * tumor * wart Your vet will be able to give you a better idea after they examine her and feel the lump. It is not an emergency. Just get her to your vet for an exam when you can schedule the appointment. My best guess is that it is either an abscess or a cyst.
