Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | unneutered
My dog has been seen by two vets in the last two days. He was sick a couple of days ago and had a collapse and slight fit yesterday. He won't drink and I am trying to give him electrolytes. Vet today says his bowel is empty. Is this'd likely to be a blockage?

Poor Fox! Most often if your dog has an intestinal blockage he is doing a lot of constant or consistent vomiting. One or two episodes of vomiting is unlikely to mean a blockage. If his bowel looks empty on X-ray, and there is no sign of gas distention on X-ray, there is unlikely a blockage and something else is causing his issues. He may need full bloodwork, urinalysis, and abdominal ultrasound to figure out what is going on. Hope that helps!
