Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 14 lbs
We recently took in our aunt's five year old dog because of minor neglect, and lately, when we're in bed, she starts to tremble a lot. She also shakes with loud noises, but it's completely silent in our house. Are there some causes for this behavior?

It sounds like Duck may be experiencing some mild anxiety. You can try a calming pheromone spray such as Adaptil. If that does not help, you may want to speak with your veterinarian about anti- anxiety medication. Given the history of previous neglect, you may also want to consider working with a trainer or veterinary behaviorist. You can find one in your area on www. Acvb.org.
